Silverline Theatre - 2021

By creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect with students, I am not only able to work with them within a classroom environment, but also within a rehearsal environment to create theatre that is positive, safe, and queer, that uplifts Indigenous and female voices and creates meaningful conversation within the cast allowing for better global citizens.

Previous Teaching

Swing Dance

My longest running courses have been swing dance classes taught both on a volunteer basis at local swing clubs, giving private lessons, and at the university level. I mainly specialize in Lindy Hop and Blues, but am comfortable in Solo Jazz, Tap, Charleston, and East Coast.

Intro to Stage Combat

I do not have my stage combat certifications. Over the course of a semester I taught hand-to-hand combat along with single sword positions staging small fights and building students confidence to the point they could stage their own fight sequences.

Compositional English

I integrated the topic of Indigeneity to help my students grasp concepts around essay writing at the University level. They worked to analyze credible sources, learning to gather their own sources, and eventually building up to writing a long form essay at the end of the semester.

Intro to Voice

Over the course of the semester I worked to help students, both musical theatre and acting concentrations to find their true voice. This consisted of body alignment, breathing exercises, vocal listening exercises, vocal warm ups, monologues, and duets.
